GQ: 20 Black Style Pioneers
While I was rummaging through the Style articles of GQ.com, I actually happened to run into quite an interesting article. The article is titled, "Birth of the Cool: 20 Black Style Pioneers". The article happened to be dated February 25, 2010, an was an homage to Black style icons of the 20th century in honor of Black History Month. The article provided a plethora of inspiration and sartoial success among Black men with names such as alto saxophonist Johnny Hodges, Marvin Gaye, Harry Belafonte, and Sidney Poitier. The article also provides interesting accounts of the lives of the men included and how they became icons for men's fashion and style. You can check out the slideshow on GQ.com here.
